SYNOPSIS In the late Qing Dynasty, Chen Liu Zi, a beggar whose parents died early, pretended to be frozen and collapsed at the door of Tong He Dyeing Factory, and was taken in by the kind-hearted shopkeeper Zhou (played by Wang Kui Rong), who changed his name to Chen Shouting (played by Hou Yong). Shouting was born smart and learned the art of cloth dyeing, and convinced Zhou to dismiss the unscrupulous Master Liu. Ten years later, thanks to Shouting's good management, the Tonghe Dyeing House gradually overtook all the original dyeing houses in Zhou Village and became the largest dyeing house in Zhou Village.
